Keeping your gadgets charged when you are spending time in the outdoors does not have to be challenging. Your Kindle has a long battery life, so you won’t have to charge it every single day. It is nice to have the option though. Goal Zero’s Lighthouse250 Lantern and solar panel tent can charge your small gadgets such as phones, e-readers, and GPS devices.

The Lighthouse 250 and Katabatic 2 provide you with light and power. They are quite handy when you are visiting a remote location. The lantern can be powered via USB and has an integrated hand crank. It doubles as a recharger for mobile devices. The Katabatic 2 solar tent has an integrated solar panel and a Goal Zero Sherpa 50 so you can store energy during the day and charge your devices outdoors.

You may not need accessories like this when you are taking short trips. But for long adventures, they could be quite handy. It is not clear whether you can charge a tablet like Kindle Fire using these solar products but e-readers are covered.
