You hit the nail right on the head. iPad is like a double edged sword. Sure. If you just want a shiny device but have no plans to download apps, music, or movies to use on the device, then I guess you can use it as an e-book reader. But the majority of people will end up play with iPads rather than reading on them. I don't know about you but I feel a lot of people waste hours everyday surfing the Internet for nothing when they can be reading books or doing other productive things. Add the iPad to the mix, and you could become a complete Internet junkie.This is not to say that the iPad is not revolutionary. I am just not sure if anyone should pick it up to read books. @Richard. So this is NOT really an ereader, though you can do that. Also, as we will see little book reading on the iPad, we will also see little book buying from iBook. Why buy a book that you won't read.
