California To Adopt Kindle?

The Kindle Store: More Than 300,000 Books

Kindle may be a revolutionary device but that doesn’t mean it’s going to be adopted by everyone fast. There’s always going to be a resistance towards any change, and Kindle brings a big change to the publishing world. But the state of California has no other choice but adopt digital books to save money and balance their budget. It’s a shame that it took a deficit for the good state of California to start pushing Internet and digital publishing technologies, but it’s a decent step in the right direction.

Don’t get me wrong. I don’t want paper books to disappear. But devices such as Kindle DX provide amazing saving opportunities to each and every state. Besides, if you have a student in your household, he/she won’t have to carry around those heavy books around no more if you replace the books with a Kindle. At the end of the day, Kindle is good for the environment and can save money for the states. So I wouldn’t be surprised if more states adopted the same approach as that of the state of California. I guess we will have to wait and see.
