Long-time Amazon customers are familiar with the company’s daily deals. It offers these for apps, electronics, and other types of products. Amazon has decided to offer its flash sales for Kindle books as well. That means Kindle owners get a chance to buy e-books for lower prices on Amazon. Customers get notified on these deals through e-mail. Of course, they can always keep track of them through the web.
At this point, it is not clear which types of books will be discounted by Amazon. Publishers who use the agency model for their books will probably not be a part of this program. The first deal seems to be a very solid one. Let’s hope the future deals will be just as good.
