You ask and you shall receive. Amazon has dropped its prices on Kindle 2.0 by $40. It has also introduced an international version of Kindle which is going for $279! But it will work both in the U.S. and internationally. When will we see a price drop on Kindle DX is another story. But a good step in the right direction by Amazon.

Kindle DX international is coming as well. Amazon hasn’t announced that yet. But it has changed the title header on Kindle DX page, indication there is another version on the way. I am not sure if there is a way to upgrade your Kindle DX other than returning it
